Reflecting on 2021: No Matter How Big Our Dream Is, Bunting Finds a Way!

By Bob Bunting — The year 2021 has been a truly excellent year for Bunting. Each year, we create a new theme to guide our goals as a company, and 2021’s theme was, “No Matter How Big Our Dream Is, Bunting Finds a Way!” Thanks to the ongoing excellence of all our employees, we were able to do just that. As we celebrate our successes from 2021, we are looking forward to achieving even more in 2022.

2021 was a great year for hiring, and we welcomed many new employees across our multiple locations. Not only did our employee base grow in 2021, but our workspace grew as well.

In July 2021, we officially unveiled our newly remodeled Bunting-Redditch facility. The Bunting-Redditch facility was completely revamped to expand manufacturing and storage space as well as adding a third floor of offices. In total, the manufacturing and office space at Bunting-Redditch increased by 50%.

The most exciting part of the remodel, though, is the new Customer Experience Center, which is 300% larger than Bunting-Redditch’s previous testing area and incorporates an extended range of laboratory-scale equipment for handling a greater volume of tests. Now, with Customer Experience Centers in both our Bunting-Redditch (UK) and Bunting-Newton (USA) locations, we are able to offer advanced testing and provide real results to an expanded range of customers across the globe.

We also made major updates to our digital presence in 2021. Both Bunting-Elk Grove Village and Bunting-DuBois debuted completely new websites, providing our customers with a thoroughly improved web browsing experience.

At Bunting-Newton, we have been hard at work on many new equipment developments, including our new High-Frequency Eddy Current Separator and our “Big Bag” meTRON™ 07 CI Coil Metal Detector. As new industry challenges present themselves, we seek to continuously develop new solutions to serve the needs of our customers.

One of the greatest highlights of 2021 was being able to return to trade shows in person. There is nothing better than being able to connect with customers and industry peers face-to-face. Between our five locations spread throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, we had the opportunity to attend a wide variety of trade shows catering to many different industries.

Another major highlight of 2021 was Bunting’s acquisition of MagDev. MagDev, based in Swindon, UK, is a magnet and magnetic assembly manufacturer. This acquisition means that Bunting can now offer an extended product portfolio and additional magnet engineering knowledge to our customers.

Bunting has many things to look forward to in 2022. While I can’t say too much now, I suggest you all keep a close eye on Bunting, as there are going to be a lot of exciting announcements in the future.
