FFG Corrugated Printing Cylinders:

For some time, one-color jobs associated with flexo folder gluers (FFGs) fell out of popularity as six-color jobs came onto the scene. However, as online shopping has exploded in popularity, one-color jobs are making a comeback as companies such as Amazon seek to create branded shipping boxes. Folding Cartons:

Bunting produces many magnetic and non-magnetic cylinders for use in cutting and scoring folding cartons. Due to the thickness of pressboard, this application most often requires a male/female die set where there is a flexible die mounted to a magnetic cylinder, which cuts and creases from above the material, and an opposing die mounted on a magnetic cylinder, which cuts and presses from the bottom. This allows the pressboard to be cut and scored cleanly, with minimal flaking. In areas where the pressboard is only being scored, a single die mounted to a magnetic printing cylinder is pressing down from above the material and a non-magnetic anvil cylinder is used below the material to support it.

Egg Carton Printing:

Bunting first developed our split shell cylinder many years ago, and by doing so provided customers with the ability to add enormous versatility to their litho presses. The split shell cylinder is designed to be secured around a roller shaft, and can often be found being used for the most unique custom print jobs and spot coatings. With a split shell cylinder, the cylinders simply screw together onto the seams.

Narrow-Web Die Cutting Cylinder:
One of Bunting’s most popular products is our narrow-web die cutting cylinder. These work by using a flexible die mounted on a magnetic cylinder above the web and a non-magnetic anvil cylinder below the web to support it. Our ability to produce a highly durable magnetic cylinder that is machined to very close tolerances, allows the narrow web label printer to use high-speed die-cutting on labels printed on materials like BOPP, PP, and PET carried on thin recyclable PET liners. Thanks to our manufacturing process, we produce a magnetic cylinder that is durable and stable, so it maintains its tolerances.

More Specialty Cylinders:
