- Tech Specs
Plate Magnets capture ferrous contaminants from dry, moist, clumpy, and abrasive materials in chutes, hoppers, gravity-fed lines, and above conveyors.
Ceramic and rare earth magnet options are available, with magnetic strength up to 10,000 gauss. The tapered face directs material across the magnetic field and helps prevent captured metal from being wiped away during fast product flow.
Standard, plate housing, and suspended configurations support enclosed spouting, processing equipment, and open conveyors. Stainless steel construction, sanitary finishes, 316 stainless steel, and replaceable wear faces are available for specific applications.
Hinged designs and installation kits simplify mounting and cleaning. Bunting can recommend the magnet type, width, construction, and mounting angle for your material and process.
Magnetic Strength: Up to 10,000 gauss for capturing ferrous contaminants from bulk materials.
Applications: Suitable for gravity-fed chutes, hoppers, enclosed spouting, and above-conveyor installations.
Installation: Pre-drilled hinge and latch kits support mounting in chutes or above conveyors.
Tapered Face: Helps prevent captured metal from being wiped away during fast product flow.
Size and Magnet Options: Widths from 100 mm (4 in.) to 1,500 mm (60 in.), with ceramic or rare earth magnets.
Cleaning: Hinged plates swing out for access to the magnetic face.
Construction: 300 series stainless steel is standard, with 316 stainless steel available for specific requirements.
Sanitary Options: Food-grade and USDA finishes are available for applicable processing environments.
Abrasion Resistance: Optional replaceable wear faces are available for abrasive materials.
Configurations: Standard, plate housing, and suspended models support different material flow and space requirements.
