Grate Magnets remove ferrous contaminants from dry, free-flowing materials in gravity-fed processing lines. They are used in food processing, plastics manufacturing, mineral handling, and other applications where product purity and equipment protection are important.
Each grate uses magnetic tubes in ceramic, rare earth, or high-intensity neodymium configurations. The tube arrangement exposes material to a concentrated magnetic field that captures tramp iron and fine ferrous particles.
Stainless steel frames allow Grate Magnets to be installed in hoppers, chutes, and bins. Units can be configured for different equipment shapes and sizes. For cleaning, operators remove the grate from the product stream and wipe the magnetic tubes.
Removing ferrous contamination helps improve product quality and protect downstream equipment. Bunting can recommend the appropriate magnetic material, tube layout, and frame configuration for your process.
