Up to three electromagnetic discs can be set independently between 1,000 and 20,000 gauss. Adjusting each disc's field strength, height, angle, and speed lets operators target materials with different magnetic responses.

Typical applications include mineral beach sands, tin and tungsten concentrates, black mass, coltan recovery, quartz purification, and recovery of metals from electronic waste. The design can produce up to seven material streams in one pass.

Bunting also offers laboratory-scale testing to establish practical separation settings before equipment selection. Test results help define the configuration for the customer's material and required outputs.
