Bunting Magnetics is a leading manufacturer of magnetic conveying and separation equipment serving a wide variety of industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, and providing actionable insights to optimize costs, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and prepare variance reports compared to budget and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support cash flow analysis. • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and production teams to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support annual budgeting, including data collection, consolidation, and analysis.
• Assist in the creation of forecasting methodology, including data collection, consolidation, and analysis.
• Monitor and analyze Industry and Product Group costs and margins.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and process improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, board presentations, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Assist in preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, and equipment purchases.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
• MBA or CPA/CMA is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing operations.
• Advanced Excel skills required. • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
