Bunting located in Newton, KS, is a leading manufacturer of magnetic conveying and separation equipment serving a wide variety of industries. We have an immediate opening for an Magnet Assembly Operator. This person is responsible for operating equipment that stacks or places magnets in proper polarity sequencing to produce high-quality magnetic assemblies. This position requires attention to detail, understanding of basic magnetic principles, and the ability to follow precise assembly procedures to ensure product quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor automated or semi-automated magnet placement equipment.
• Test and verify correct magnet polarity throughout the assembly process.
• Follow detailed work instructions and technical specifications.
• Maintain quality control through proper testing and inspection procedures.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Document production data and quality information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
• Handle fragile magnetic materials with proper care techniques.
• Comply with all safety procedures related to magnetic materials.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of magnetic principles (polarity, field strength).
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
